How to change your Display Resolution!

For  sites better viewed with resolutions larger than 800 x 600

In order to change the resolution of your computer display with your Windows platform print this set of directions:

  1. First, go to your desktop (the big first screen that has all the little icons), and RIGHT-CLICK your mouse.  Do not place the pointer on any icon, please.

  2. The window below will appear.  Click on PROPERTIES.

  3. You are now looking at something like this:

  4. Your settings are probably 800 x 600, which is default.  But you do not have to keep them that way.  The display is much more enjoyable with "tighter" resolution.  See below:

  5. Move that little arrow to the different settings.  Each one will allow you to check out the results, and if you do not like them, the screen will be restored to its original settings in 15 seconds.

  6. I recommend to try these resolutions before you make any decisions:
        a) 1152 by 864
        b) 1280 by 1024
Just remember: if you do not like it, then wait the 15 seconds.

Advanced Settings!

  1. Ok, now you have selected a better resolution.  My website is going to look SO MUCH BETTER, and so will everything else!!

However, the resolution will also change the size of the text.  To counteract this, I recommend doing the following.  Click on ADVANCED.

  2. Change your FONTS to Larger Fonts, which will make them 125% larger, and therefore much easier to read.

  3. You probably will need to restart the computer now.

  4. NOW, enjoy my website like it should be enjoyed!!
